Newbie from Warwickshire

Post by Mash »

Hello
I've joined DDK as I am about to build a Chesil Speedster. Having wanted to build a kit car for many years, my youngest son's interest has prompted me to get on with it before it's too late.
I visited the Chesil factory a couple of weeks ago and was impressed by Peter Bailey's enthusiasm and knowledge. I'm on the look out for a Beetle donor vehicle, mainly looking at eBay but interested in any other possible sources.
Thanks for having me!

Hope your build goes well Mark. They look great when finished off well. If you can fit correct style instruments they will look great. So many repro items also for the body.

Keep us in the picture with photos if you can of the progress oncwe you get the VW chassis

Getting on with it now...
Decided to go with Gary Blundell alias "The Doctor" at the Speedster Clinic. http://www.speedsterclinic.com
He also lurks on this forum as 356.
I've decided to go with a Red9Design double wishbone front suspension and their coilover rear suspension coonversion. http://www.red9design.com
Where's the best place to put a build thread to maximise incoming good advice?
