The 'Maverick' Classic Porsche Forum and Classic Porsche Club for Porsche 356, Aircooled Porsche 911, Porsche 912, Porsche 914 & Porsche Replicas. 'We join for the cars but stay for the people'
After 2 yrs in the making its finally ready ? It has a 2.7 RS MFI engine
with JE High compression pistons, Hot cams, Ported heads, SSI's Stainless Dansk, K&N , I hope when its run in it should have Circa 240/250 BHP.
It's been a while in the making, David Broughton of 911 Classic in Boreham street, Sussex carried out the work, the engine is very special and I have to run it in carefully. We used Fibreglass bumpers, lightweight carpets, cards and seats, I wanted to achieve the same power to weight as an M471 or the H model. The delay was in sourcing the parts to recalibrate the MFI pump to 2.7 spec . Jon give me a call and we will go for a spin.
In regard to the photo and broken cobbles, it reminded me of some of the famous backdrops that "Car Magazine " did in Italy with the Lamborghini Countach in a farmyard, hence the photo whilst out visiting a friend.
