The spherical joints are used to replace the standard rubber bushes and will provide positive location for the rear trailing arm and produce improved handling characteristics. (There may be an associated increase in noise)
These Monoballs are manufactured to a very high specification.
Housings are machined from a High Strength Stainless Steel
Spherical Joints are 'branded' and manufactured by Minebea rather than the more commonly used no-name Asian components.
The housing and bearing are located by 'Smalley' Double Spirolox Snap Rings not low cost Circlips.
The spherical joint is pre-installed in the housingng with correct radial 'fit' to provide the recommended preload needed when a spherical joint is axially loaded.
The unit is weather sealed using 'Seal-It' WS Series components.
New High Tensile 14mm dia fasteners and T type Nyloc Nuts are also supplied as part of this kit
