Based on an original 1972 911 2.4E the shell was (as far as I can make out) restored by Steve Carr (ex. Autofarm) then she was converted with steel flares (correct profile!!) by Robert Gant at Gant speed in 1992 (receipts for nearly £15,000 of work back then
Previously owned by at least two other DDK'ers (Mick Cliff and Tim Scott / Roadrunner), she is the most fun early car I have ever had the privilege to drive

I purchased her wanting a car I could drive / sprint / trackday - something which I didn't want to do to my RS. I've seen the light and I'm using her all the time

When I purchased her she was blue over white and needed some love
- front wings were fibreglass, now replaced by a pair of genuine Porsche front wings (parts cost over £1,500!)
- at the same time paint tidied up by Lee Peacock at Autoclassica Bodyworks (some £5,000)
- brakes replaced with SC units - hugely powerful and give great feel and awesome stopping power
- 4 x Avon CR6ZZ's with less than 2,000 miles on (sticky rubber and looks so period too - and £200 a corner!
- Original 7's and 8's fitted with correct 15mm (from memory!) spacers on the rear
- new M471 style interior fitted, carpets and door cards from Southbound, seats from RSL GmbH
- period Momo Prototipo and lightweight Porsche crest supplied by Andy (Lightweight 911)
- original Porsche viper green Carrera decal set applied
- engine rebuild with original 1973 911/83 2.7RS case

Some time in the 90's a genuine 1973 2.7RS engine was fitted with original MFI - however the case must have been damaged prior to being fitted (there was a very bodged repair to the case) and this damage to the case had deteriorated to beyond a repair being possible now
I eventually sourced a 1975 911/83 Carrera case and the plan was to build the engine back around this, however, after a lot of effort on Bob's part and a stroke of luck, I was offered a wonderful, genuine 1973 911/83 (663xxxx numbered) 2.7RS case. This case is in excellent condition and has been shuffle pinned, timecerted and line honed. The barrel decks have all been refaced. I had no option but to pucker up and blow the cash for this (I've now got a spare 911/83 case if anyone's interested
She has just returned from a four month stay at Bob Watson's spa for pampered Porsche where the engine was rebuilt with new bearings, new piston rings, barrel studs etc. The valves were lapped and everything checked to Bob's usual standard. The crank is in excellent condition having been balanced and never ground in Bob's opinion. One thing Bob noticed when rebuilding the engine was that the ports had been opened up to 38mm from the original 34mm - there is evidence that the car might have been in the hands of the Kremer brothers at some time in its past, so perhaps this is when it was done? The exhaust is a custom stainless twin port unit that sounds STUNNING. The noise on the over run is blood curdling

A fresh MOT was issued without any advisory on Thursday and she has something that very few genuine RS's have: she's tax free being a 1972
Before the rebuild, running basically the same engine (internals and injection system), she was producing 226bhp on Bob's rolling road. At the moment she's limited to 4,000rpm until I've got a thousand miles on her (only 700 more to go
So in summary a 1973 M471 RS Replica with a genuine 1973 2.7RS engine and MFI, based on a genuine RHD 1972 2.4E in excellent condition and ready for some serious fast road driving and maybe even a few track days or sprints into Europe?
For sale now and located in Hampshire, 15 minutes from Southampton Airport for viewing.

(possibly consider px for a 993 or 997 in VERY good condition)
