GOLD 2.4

Post by Roadrunner »

I shot this for a friend at the weekend, and not having seen this colour on a 911 before, was more than a little impressed.

Lovely photos. 8)

I like gold on a 911, shame you don't see many.
I guess most were re-painted as fashions changed.
Porsche's gold is a 'good' gold, nice and yellow. Probably about 24 carats.

Here's one I saw at Hilton Head a few years back, was in fantastic condition...

Paul - that could be the same car. This one came over from the States.

Well if it is, it's a good one. An Atlanta car I seem to recall.

Lovely car but......

If one is going to be best in class one had better be right, but the paint detailing around the door panels is wrong, it should have about 10 - 15 mm of satin black, so that when the door is closed you can't see body colour on the inside.

Great pictures Tim !

Paul - that car you photographed at Hilton Head is Ed Cave's (from Atlanta) & I'm fairly sure he hasn't sold it ...

Christ, I would be well miffed off if that short dark haired model in the golden bikini splashed all that petrol over my car when she was filling it up!
