Beautiful burgundy 911S in Hove...

Sat at a traffic lights on Old Shoreham Road in our '68 blood orange 912, and what should pull up behind us but an absolutely beautiful burgundy '70 911S - looked fantastic and sounded great as it stormed past

nice car.

I'm 99% sure it said 911S. Could be wrong though (won't be the first time)

Ive seen this twice before parked at Marina in Brighton.

It is an S. Never seen owner though.

There could be a Hove DDK meet soon or at least E & W Sussex

Yeah, that was me. Wish it was an S, it's an E I'm afraid. Parents live in the Marina so probably me too.

Also got a Notch and live in Hove, so we really do have something in common Vic...

Hove / Brighton DDK meet sounds good to me

Sorry Paul, only the monophonic cousin left here now

But it IS a very early one - might be a modular or two around but they're too big to fit in the back of a 911

The cafe is in littlehampton (east beach cafe) - actually the sister cafe (west beach cafe - funnily enough) , although not as visually striking , always get our vote - right on beach away from crowds - nice little car park (20 cars) & great hake & chips

are either too far for a brighton & hove meet ?

East Beach Cafe, Littlehampton - that's the one. Thanks Paul. I've friends in Yapton which is just up the road, I believe.

Looks like it's situated in the Caribbean here doesn't it?

My preference would be a bit more local to Hove! Devils Dyke is a superb viewpoint with a pub and car park. (Dogging optional in pay and display), or there is Madeira Drive where they hold the speed trials - you can fill up with shandy and fish and chips down there but dont drive too far down or you might get hailed into a bush by a rent buoy. Carats cafe near the power station is another possibility? Or the Badgers pub on the cliffs at Rottingdean could be really good - pub, car park, view.
