GENTS OMEGA 'GENEVE' 9ct GOLD WATCH

Post by Lightweight_911 »

One owner since 1969 (was a retirement gift to my father) & complete with original Omega strap, box, etc (but sadly not the original sales invoice).

Has a few (minor) surface marks on the 'glass' & could do with a clean/polish but overall in nice condition.

£250 + P&P

GENTS OMEGA 'GENEVE' 9ct GOLD WATCH

Post by super_golfer »

Andy

Very very spooky. As soon as I saw this I just had to look in our old tin trunk and, sure enough, there was my fathers retirement gift - a Gents Omega Geneve 9ct Gold wrist watch!!.

I think he retired in the mid 70s, and wore it till he passed away in 1981. It still has the original strap - exactly like your one.

Perhaps this was the standard retirement gift?? A Porsche 911 would have been better!!

Good luck with the sale. Glad to know there are a few mature DDK people out there:- but I think I'm still the oldest at just turned 60!!
