My story . . . bought off a local fella to me 3 years ago (been in his family since 1964!!) . . . put it though an MOT after it had been stood in a barn for a few years and all it needed was a wheel bearing a horn and the wipers fixing !!!
Ran around in it for a year . . . MOT lapsed and since it's probably best been described as a 'garage ornament' !!
If I could handle a spanner and was mechanically minded this would be a keeper . . . BUT the reality is I know jack shite apart from where the petrol goes and how to turn the steering wheel, so it either sits in my garage being promised a resto (which will probably never happen) or I move it on !!
SO here's the deal.
1960 356B
Converted to right hand drive it some point from a left hooker (believe it was origanlly from France)
1600 twin carbed orginal engine.
Runs fine, but does blow smoke out of the breather pipe when she's warm.
Had a prang at some point in it's life so it has had a plastic front end on it . . . hence doesn't look like a B (so doubt very much doubt it will appeal to a porscheaphile!)
Solid floors, longitudanals and generally an all round solid car but tatty around the edges (no major signs of rust however!)
Complete car with all the glass and bits and pieces.
Complete interior (not the origanal seats) but I've taken most of it as it was the intention to just blow it over and stick it back on the road but with work commitments and a lack of skills it's been sat for a couple of years and has become a surf board rack !!!
As a 1960 car things need fixing . . . off the top of my head.
The rev counter doesn't work, along with most of the dash instruments apart from the speedo.
The throttle linkage doesn't push the carbs fully open . . . it's all there so just needs fiddling (but as I've stated I'm that much of a mechancial dimwit I wouldn't know how to start!!)
It could do with painting (or looks perfectly rat as it is) . . . the paint is pretty shabby and a mate baremetaled a little bit of the roof (which is now rattle canned over in black!!)
All in all a soild car that is uber cool that needs some love and attention from someone with a mechanical mind to sort the niggles and bring her back to life.
The car is on BRM's but I also have the original wheels . . . I've also got lying around some chesil type bumpers which came with the car but have never been fitted . . . bonnet thingmajig and various other chrome parts also lying around in the garage including bumper stops, etc.
The car hasn't even been moved for a couple of years so the following pics are various since I've had it . . . It's probably done around a couple of thousand miles since I've had it !!

I've struggled on price as most 356's are minters and crazy money or there absolute nails which require major restoration work and metal work . . . this is solid and useable with a weekends work and would be an uber cool show cruiser . . . so
Price - 9K (electrical tape stripes optional!)
The car is located in North Devon in the sleepy village of Appledore.
