73RSR.....crunch!
Not a good day all round today tbh
Some nice large bills to pay on the 67S, a nice large estimate on the restoration of the 964RSR and while taking the 73RSR for its MOT a lovely lady decided she would rearrange its front end for me
We were at the T-junction in our village ready to pull out and across the A46 to head right/south.
She was in a Golf in front of me.
TBH its a horrible junction to pull out of as you can be sat there ages sometimes as there is so much traffic heading in both directions.
She pulled out across the road a bit and waited for a gap in traffic which never came. As traffic started to then approach in other lane she panicked, put car in reverse and reversed hard back into the junction from whence she came and where I still was.
Didn't bother to check her mirror as she thought she could just park the Golf on top of my RSR which she duly did
Bye bye bumper, bonnet, head lights.....
She was very apologetic but she was in a rush to get to the shops you see.
Insurance has already rang to say she accepts full liability but without the RSR again.
The likelihood of this ruddy car getting to any events ever seems to be nil
Today I wish I couldn't drive and didn't own any ruddy cars.
Roll on tomorrow.....

Oh Jason, I feel for you - there's nothing worse.
But, think upon it this way - as I have said to you before on a similar but MUCH worse occasion - you walked away, no-one was hurt and tin can be bent back into shape
Have a beer then go and buy another car
Seriously - thank God you're all right - the rest is academic and down to the insurers. It'll be better than before in a week or two.
Philip

True. Was not even angry at the time just said 'oh well it happens'.
Think this break from work has sent my stress levels too far the other way!
....and I was going to get the front bumper painted anyway as that was the only part that hadn't been painted first time around.
...and there is space in the garage for the 67S I picked up today now so maybe its fate

Yep get out there and don't come back unless you've had the S at 5,500k rpm minimum for an hour964RS wrote: ...and there is space in the garage for the 67S I picked up today now so maybe its fate

That is a real bu**er Jason, but as said above, at least you are OK. the car will get fixed.
There's still the 67S, 964RS and please also tell us more about the 964RSR you mention
