912R sale

Post by IXXIfan »

It'd make a really great racer or of course a great road car. A complete 2.0 69S engine is also available (needs a re-build) for anyone contemplating a foray into historic racing and I know Mark has other engine and gearbox options.

From memory this is a pretty significant 912 ...the last RHD if I remember correctly

Whats the story with the engine and g box... are they available separately ?

I always admired this car but its kind of in no mans land.
a significant 912 LWB but kitted out as an R ...fantastic detailing (but then it would be :) )

If I had the money I'd restore it to the original last rhd 912 with orig engine and g box

then take the R bits and put them on a SWB shell

For 20 K you could have 2 great cars :bom:
Cheers
Hig

I used to have a 72 911 I drove every day... Now I have projects...
'73 911 Track car ...being put back together
'59 Conv D... refit underway...Upholstery done !!

I do know the where the original engine and gearbox are and they may still be available. I can put any prospective purchaser in touch with the specialist who has the oily bits.

911R for sale

Post by fcd911 »

Hi
Super looking car, great detailing and a great project.
I like the door storage nets. Can someone please advise if these are available, if so, who supplies them. I have seen something similar at Demon Tweeks but they are not as good as these.
Thanks
John

The 912 rear engine mountings are in a different place in the body, but you can change anything if you try hard enough :)

Hi - yes i have contacted RS-911. Though i am also hoping to receive or find who may if at all have original photos of the resto carried out a couple of years ago. And any documentation on its original factory build - numbers etc.

Also interested in the specs on the full rebuild on the motor for 10K pounds. Though it didn't include oil upgrade? I believe the motor can be purchased for an additional 6000 pounds. Is it a stock rebuild? In Australian dollars $20000 buys alot of 912 motor.

As far as I know the original engine was rebuilt by Andy Prilll & still carries a 12 month (?) warranty from him.

MiGgs on here built it but not the engine, that was after he sold it. Pm him he may have more info but it was a few years ago
