Sleeper!

Post by Bootsy »

Nice 'sleeper'!

3.0 930 engine in 911T - very subtle.

Deep sixes, 7R rear

Vanilla and Kiwi Green apparently!

Beautiful car - nicely understated. 8)

The late Bill Goodman had swapped round the 2.4 badge on the rear grille of his 72 3.0 Turbo engined car to read 4.2, since the equivalence factor for super- and turbo-charged engines is 1.4 for motorsport.

Cheers! :drunken:

has anyone ever driven a turbo engined lightweight 911 - especially a narrow body.
ive heard from someone in the know its far and away the most extreme experience you can have in a 911 and thats over and above thrashing a 993 GT2 on the open roads.
in his experience
seriously silly

I struggle enough with 130bhp, even with 7R rims and slightly wider tyres I would imagine it a little 'tricky' on the average damp UK road

Having said that, it's really cool isn't it? Where was that spare turbo I had under the bench....

My own car is a sleeper 911, a 1971 911T but with almost 300bhp running deep 6s and 7Rs on the rear. In the wet it can be lots of fun

Just that silencer....
Needs to be stock IMHO, but what a nice car outside and in, just so Californian.

Think I would prefer a 3.5 on webers?
