I've being doing some research into what dizzys were available for 356s, thought I'd share some great info links I've found
Go to Bosch website
http://www.automotive-tradition.de/en/w ... herche.htm
choose english top left corner
then click on equipment lists and choose your model of car
pulls up a pdf file such as this
http://www.automotive-tradition.de/down ... vl0090.pdf
Contains more than just distributor information too
Anyway, from what I can find (please add to this if incorrect) I reckon the correct dizzys were
VE4 BRS383 1948 - 1955
VJR4 BR9 1956 - 1957
VJR4 BR18 1958 - 1963 (0231 129 002)
'022' 1964 - 1967 (0231 129 022)
