How many RHD 911T Targas are there?( pre-impact )

Post by Disco »

I ask this as I was quoted that there were only about 30 in existence - which seems rather low to me - Understood that the only year that they did them was 73 but 30?

I ask this as I have someone telling me that a RHD one is worth close to 30 - which is probably a lot more than its really worth...

be interested in the thoughts of others - perhaps someone on here owns a RHD T ?

thanks and regards

Disco

I think someone is confusing the total number of 73 targas with S targas possibly.

It is true that 1973 was the only model year for RHD Targas.

The info I have

80 RHD 2.4 T targas
50 RHD 2.4 E targas
46 RHD 2.4 S targas

Regards
Mike

Is it an Olive Green 2.4S Targa? (apparently the only RHD 2.4S Targa made in Olive Green).

Ian.

Thanks for the replies chaps - its a red one and definately a T - apparently had 10k's worth of work done to the engine recently, but even so, arent the targa's generally worth less that the hard tops? - perhaps I'm wrong.

There was a viper green one up for sale in Sunderland ( a month or so ago ) that had had a fair amount of work done to it ( photo resto ) for a very reasonable price of just shy of 17k. - but it took a long time to sell - so I'm wondering that even if its a matching numbers, not a bad car etc, its still over priced?

thanks !

£30K for a RHD T Targa sounds like big money to me. I suppose possible if it was immaculate in every way.

... apparently had 10k's worth of work done to the engine recently"

- that's a lot of money to spend on a T engine ...

Cheers for the confirmation. If it was say, good condition, but not fantastic with a recent engine build, would I be looking at the low 20's then ? Or am I being unrealistic? - its through a garage in london so they'll put their margin on as well...

Apparently the chap who owns it is 'taking a sabatical' from the banking world... So I suppose there could be some negotiation for towards a realistic price... Bearing in mind were a/ in a recession and b/ the time of year and c/ there's a good need to sell...

Cheers
