1966 912 does its bit for charity...again

Post by rafiki »

We leave from cape Cornwall on 27 April at around 0830...and will arrive at Plymouth for the ferry for Roscoff later that evening. And will have driven 200 miles or so before we get to the ferry!

If there's anyone in the area on the 27th, give us a wave (and a donation?) as we potter by.

We're also plotting with our Tesco store in Cleethorpes to allow us a day's fund raising in March... Anything to raise money.

Next stop...Tesco's on the 5 April. We raised much money for Macmillan on 14th, now getting greedy.

But we've just about reached our target and it seems we may actually beat it this year.

Will there be anyone out there on 27th April? Come and chat...

We're back from the Tour and raised very nearly £4500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

But...the 912 failed us on the M1 on the way to Cornwall and had to be 'lorried' home in time for us to swap cars to our 2002 KIA.

Fuel starvation apparently is the cause...originally diagnosed as a worn eccentric cam on the distributor drive. But probably not...blocked after sales filter may be the culprit. We'll have to see...
