outlaw
May be when the bumpers are back on the bitch then it will not be outlaw so much. Engine is in bits. Im splitting the case this weekend to see how bad the damage is. The battle with the bloody crap insurance company that offered only £200 after admitting fault still continues.
Anyone ever seen a Porsche part alloy oil cooler P 616.107.041.50
Had one fitted with big bore and light alloy rods. Not sure which cam yet but its probably not stock.
lots of new bits for engine but one head has been skimmed to the last of its life so might need a new one. I got to check it over with a ruler and look for cracks. Any advice welcome. I think you told me you might be doing some special work to yours. Whats the progress?

Avoiding local so-called self proclaimed specialists.
going to call Andy on Monday and arrange to go up and collect the parts then it's a case of slowly rebuilding the motor to the spec I want, I hope for at least 120bhp
Are you taking it apart tomorrow?
If so give me a bell I am looking to take the 12 out for a spin with my Son so as long as I am not too long I could pop round and take a look..

Sorry m8 didnt see the message until today. Case is apart. I found the cam is pitted but no problem as I have a neutek one from Brad Ripley. Cam followers are bit pitted but not bad, case and conrod bearings are STD but I will need case and crank checked over before getting bearings. Only found a bit of wear on the conrod bearings. No scoring or damage other than that. The oil pump gears need replacing as one has a bit of wear on the end but again nothing major. It looks like I stopped using the motor before it got to bad. So apart from having one head that has been skimmed to death and shimmed up - not bad at all. If you dont mind me asking - how much did mr prill charge to sort out your heads?

Not wanting to be provocative chaps as 356s don't really do anything for me (not sure how I fell into here - I've got most of a 914)
BUT...this thing is pure evil.
Which presumably means that that you lot see it as sacrilege and therefore hate it ?
I'm not sure I'd want to drive it but I'd certainly put it on the mantlepiece.

Oh God Yes. V. nice, but...
You see, I don`t show Mrs Mycar threads like this. She`s already trying to convince me to trade the 911 for a 356 . If she knew what an outlaw was she`d sell the flat as I slept and then we`d be sleeping in seperate Porsches
Mike.
