Lowering a 356

Post by Milly »

What kind of adjustment do you get out the beam on a 356b . . . looking to drop the front end into the weeds

will I need to fit dropped spindles too . . ?

Also I'm gonna put some BRM's on and at present they're on the bug and the tyres are 195 65's on the rear and 165's on the front. Will these go under the arches . . ?

Cheers in advance

They will go down quite a way if you wish to do that! just a allen screw with a 19mm nut on them.

Cheers for the advice Graham, much appreciated.

I did do as you said but the front didn't drop it all . . . !

There's loads of travel in the suspension though so I'm guessing it's a case of just getting shorter shocks . . . ? (to lazy to actually take the shocks off!)

Don't s'pose you know if bug shocks fit do you . . . ?

Cheers in advance.

p.s. it wasn't you in a white 356 I cruised past on the barnstaple link road on Sunday was it ?
