Trial picture post from Winter Classic Trophy
Just got back from a great week competing on the Winter Classic Trophy which started in Gaydon, Warwickshire and ended in Edinburgh. I've got a number of photos but before I try and post them here's a trial posting of one someone else took of us. As you can see, if posting works, we had some superb weather mid week

thanks guys,
Hilary did superbly on the navigating although she was pretty quesy on a few of the night time legs. Apart from one very costly wrong slot on the Tuesday evening where we collected maximum lateness penalties at a control, we were getting very respectable low penalty scores each day. The proof of the pudding is Hilary is now asking what we can do next!
We also entered a team of three 911s and won the team prize so all in all a very successful week.
Car ran faultlessly as well. Only tool needed was trusty hammer to periodically tap back the wheel arch lip that the knobbly tyres tended to catch. Must get the arches rolled to avoid this in future. Anyone got experience of doing this?
We actually found ourselves driving past the CB Inn by the way and had a coffee stop in Masham so brought back great memories of our other Yorkshire trip in the 911.
Derek,
underneath the mud, if you look carefully you'll be able to see your old steel wheels. This was their first outing with the knobbly tyres on. They worked very well thanks.
Before I get around to loading some more photos, I've actually found some more on the internet taken by the photographers covering the event if you're interested. Have a look at

and follow the link under rallying to the winter classic trophy. Pics of my car are on pages 40 and 45. One or two quite good water splashes that had the photographers worried as we approached them
There are also a few other 911s and 912s if you've the patience to browse through them all.

So, with a bit of luck and support from photobucket heres a few more shots. As they're ones I've taken they're only shots in carparks at rest halts etc rather than action shots but nevermind.
This is a clean car at the start:
A few cars at I think Ladybower Inn carpark
A nice day in Yorkshire, great weather and scenery
Wensleydale and v.nice '65 911
orange and silver spots shot
dirty but safely home
