Main focus at the moment is trying to sort out a permanent effective (& ideally period-correct) air filtration system for the Webers.sanjay wrote: What's left to do now ?
The combination of 'tall' manifolds & insulating spacers plus tall auxillary venturis & 77mm trumpets means that clearance for air filters is limited - especially on the right side due to the staggered arrangement of the Webers.
However, I'm hopeful of solving the problem & being able to use some period air filters.
The biggest problem if you wanted to use the car on a daily basis - in town at least - would be the door height.sanjay wrote:And how easy would it be to turn it into a daily smoker !!
On the original 4-cam 904's (which is the body style my car utilises) the doors extended down into the sills which means the bottom of the doors is below Kerb height making 'conventional' street parking impossible. The problem is exarcerbated by LHD & the limited amount that the sliding windows open - making entering/exiting any car parks, etc with barrier-controlled entrances interesting !
