Sadly won't be there as not registered yet - sent paperwork off yesterday, but with this being a short week due to bank Holiday, don't expect much to happen. Also needs to be mapped properly.

EDIT: but when it is on the road properly, trust me, there will be more than beers! :bounce:

After sorting fuel system, got engine fired up from cold (a bit of an effort as the fuelling is all wrong) and then took the car for a quick drive down the road. Gentle throttle, no real load and suddenly 90mph... Ooops, better back off as engine needs to be 'run in'. What a difference!

Now booked in for rolling road set-up at Tipton Garage (they are prepping a Merc 'Fintail' for Brian Redman to drive at Goodwood at the moment) but they can't do it until Friday 18th. Still, I need to get some 'real' work done, so not a problem as I wasn't planning on going anywhere in it.

But what a sound! :bounce:

Sounds promising Keith, hopefully this is the end of the niggles and you will shortly be able to enjoy it.

That sounds like great progress, and must have been a rewarding drive even if brief

So, all the paperwork done... Sent off to DVLA... Anxiously await postman (well, post girl in Lostwithiel)... Buff envelope from DVLA arrives 10 day after I posted the application... And? And?

Crispin forgot to sign the MOT certificate, so it took DVLA a week to send all the paperwork back saying it's got to be resubmitted. Crazy, because its all computerised now and the MOT is only ever checked on line when you tax a car these days.

So, the chances of me getting the car registered before the last event of the year for me (the magazine's day out at Mapledurham on Sunday 20th) are now increasingly slim. B u g g e r.

So you have to put your signature on the Mot paper??. What's the point of that??? Bit old school, could understand if it was the old way. Like you said its all on the DVLA database.

Fingers crossed, you still may get it in time ;-)

Silence. Got bored so called DVLA today – amazing to find it was easy to speak to someone! A lady with a nice Welsh accent looked up my details and said 'Yes, that's all been accepted and gone through for you. Would you like to know the registration number?'. So, VAM 504D it is until I transfer TLF 25 onto the car once I get the V5 through the post.

Now, rolling road tomorrow... Gulp.

That will be interesting, esp who you have taken it to.

Video expected much longer than the last one!

Good luck with it all. :)
