No, Graham it was on megaphones - but wasn't even using half of the available revs ...

These are the front suspension components that Barrie fabricates:

This shot shows the (cast) pedals - 100% copies of the originals (complete with embossed part nos on the rear) & the grp floor cover & battery compartment cover (passenger footwell) :

I did deviate from the original spec in a few areas - for instance, as on many of the original cars, I moved the battery from the Factory-installed location in the passenger footwell to the engine compartment but, for my car, I used a lightweight Odyssey gel battery.

This is the location - a convenient space just infront of the n/s/r wheel:





A suitable lightweight (but strong) folded aluminium tray was fabricated &, since there was plenty of space, it was decided to 'kill two birds with one stone' & mount the MSD ignition boxes underneath the battery out of sight:







I fabricated a plate to mount the 'dummy' Bosch CDI boxes to & this will be placed over the battery to complete the illusion ...


I've also added a Bosch battery cut-off switch in the adjacent area on the firewall:
