Coxy914 wrote:Been over to the RAF Museum this morning and sorted out a few details for the meets with the Marketing Staff. Must say, it's changed a fair bit over the past few years and the Cold War museum is stunning!! The venue itself is ideal.
We will be parking up in between the new Cold War Museum building and Hangers 2 & 3.

This is the parking area here with the Cold War Museum to the left:

There are marked parking space for around 80 cars and you could easily fit double that in the area that we have been allowed, plus there's an area down the bottom for 250+ cars as well.

This is also right next to the entrance to the main Cold War exhibition which in itself is mindblowing and well worth the visit!

This is what you can expect to see inside the Cold War Museum:
everything from Migs to Missiles, a Green Goddess

and some cars )inclduing a Bug and a Trabbie, and a piece of the Berlin Wall!

sounds good what time should we be there :P should we wear lycra

Just over a week to go! Got a fair amount of interest from the Midlands Lotus club and even Club Scuderia for some Prancing Horse action!!

Good be rivalling the Goodwood Meets soon enough, and I'm certain soon as we start getting warmer weather then we'll be getting some big crowds and a nice variety of cars!

Great plan, the Goodwood of the Midlands :)

I'm still planning for this one, although the rate of my progress towards new timing chains etc is a bit slow!

yup, all future dates and meets will be held at Cosford.

I got fed up of spending 2 hours cleaning bacon fat off the cars after every meet!

Put it this way, Timo's car won't be rusting for about another 30 years yet!!

Can't make it...

The engine is back in, but I've forgotten to buy any oil

The sudden realisation has just killed my motivation and it will remain just 2 hours work short of being a runner again.

Ah well, see you next time :)
