The writing is Japanese ... a "simplified" form of the writing !!

Top one (above Porsche Script) - translates as "The World's Record" (don't worry - does not make sense to me either !!

Btm one " Little Rough Bad Thing" ... again a literal translation.

So take it from there and use a little literal imagination !!

With thanks to YoYo who is from Macau and speaks M......in and C ...se , but no Portuguese ! (know your Macau history !!)
Royal Enfield .. still in India
GL 1800 Tour DCT, for pleasure / Fantic 240 Professional - play
Rally 911 (1966) build parked for a while
Rally 928 (work started again - inc serious weight loss programe !)
.... and now another VW Up GTI owner.

Well done Cortina, that's near enough
I used Babelfish for the translation into Simplified Japanese. In English it should say 'World Record' on the doors, as the original car. The script on the engine lid is 'Little B4stard'.
Quite relieved that I may not upset any Japanese speaking people :)

Thanks Oliver
Seems unlikely to have been red as the record attempt was sponsored by BP... but I will stand corrected :)
In all the research I did the colour always came up as green (Pantone 655 to be exact  )

And then there were two
R is now securely locked up in my garage
Bit of a blast driving it home... It's noisy, it's hard, it attracts lots of attention
