Hi all,

Just to wrap this up I got my car back from Bob Watsons last Friday. MFI rigging was a mile out, on the first run the car (2.7 RS spec) was only giving 195BHP. He rigged the system and now I'm getting 225BHP which is to the top end of my expectations bearing in mind the minor fettling that was carried out in the engine rebuild. Sum total £174 inc vat which must be the best £174 I ever spent. Now it pulls like a demon all the way round to 7200. Economy looks a bit better too if only I could cool it with the right foot. The car is now in rude health :) :)

As John says, Bob is a straight forward honest sort of chap. Experienced racer of early and later cars as well engine builder of same. Lots of cups for racing MFI cars in the 80's and 90's. The sort of chap I feel I could trust on the odd occassion when I go to a specialist organization, and I am HIGHLY CRITICAL when it comes to independents. So full marks.

Hey Keith, I am delighted for you mate, that is a great result. Bob is the real deal alright, very impressed with what I have seen there.

His website contact page is here Dyno, not much to the site, but tells you all you need to know about finding him.

I noticed a thread over on impact bumpers site where they all went and dyno'd there cars last weekend somewhere near silverstone. Maybe we should organise a similar thing for next summer. With the vast array of engines and mods on this board I think the results would be interesting. Would anyone be up for this?

Are you thinking of Weltmeister at the Silverstone circuit? They do quite a lot of these rolling road club days.

Ian.

PS My E has always gone to Bob Watson and always comes back beautifully set up. Think it would object to going on any old rolling road ;-)
