Evening all, I've been reading a few of the posts, there seems to be more going on here than on the Porsche Club forum's ......

Anyway once I've worked out how to get a piccy of my 2 toys posted I will.

Welcome Peter, where in Suffolk are you?

There are a surprising number of us in East Anglia and it's high time we organised a get together!

Welcome to DDK, I hope you find it welcoming, useful and of course fun!

Great cars by the way, tell us more.

Hi :)

You might find DDK gets a bit quiet for the next 7 days as a lot of us are away at Le Mans :)

Bootsy, I'm in Sudbury.

The white car is a 1966 2.0 5 speed lux, RHD from new, matching numbers, it was modifyed in the late 70's and early 80's to as you see it now. Since I've owned it (8 months) I've changed the complete exhaust system to a poilshed stainless system, fitted new oil pipes, see pic, etc:, cut out the naff aftermarket alarm system, and now I'm in the process of getting all the electrics to work. It's apparantly worth more if it were returned to standard spec, but I like it for what it is, even if I haven't driven it yet ....... I was even thinking of selling it ......

The red car is a 1991 964, one owner from new, I'm in the process of curing the oil leaks and fitting a cat by-pass pipe, a G pipe, re-fitting the heat exchangers etc:, new oil pipes, plugs, dizzy caps, rotor arms, 17" cup alloys, etc:, the biggest problem is the colour, basically faded red, so it could do with spending a few days in the paint shop. I didn't pay much for it and I don't mind doing the work myself.

Pete,
Hi Pete
I'll give you a tenner for it
It'll look sweet along side my LHD '66 :P

MdR,

If my RHD '66 is only worth a tenner then your LHD '66 must only be worth a fiver cos' LHD are 'common'

Actually, make it £10,000 and you can have it :?:

Peter

Was your car on Pistonheads a few months ago? It looks great IMHO. If you are thinking of selling at the back end of the year let me know.

Alex,

Yes it was on Pistonheads last year, I bought it and then started changing things like the exhaust etc:

I've no real intentions on selling it, but given the right offer .....

I just like it for being a basic 911, no electric windows or anything, simple.

I'm not sure of it's history, I have some receipts, I'm sure it's had an 'interesting' life, there's even a half cage in it.

I also have the 964, which I'm in the process of sorting out oil leaks etc:, I have thought of getting shot of both and getting a newer 911, I'd like a 993, and I'd do a deal for a newer car with both my cars.

Cheers
