Still no letter for me, emailed Vincent who said that all letters were posted over a week ago, if not recived by Wednesday he will PDF a copy over

Mark, I'm pretty certain you need an entrance ticket which are 50 Euros. The number I have is: 0033 1 44 63 51 20 which I will text you now. If anyone has a better number/course of action please shout!!

I've just tried this number, unfortunately the chap on the other end was as good at English as I am at French (fair enough, I should have persevered with my Ladybird Book of French). Suffice to say 'Parlais vous englaise' didn't do the trick, and he hung up, after a torrent of slightly cross french.

Not to be beaten, I phoned my brother's aupair (French), who phoned the number for me. She was told that the event was fully booked, and that no tickets were available!

Her grasp of english is pretty spot on, so I don't think it was a language problem at this end. She did add that the chap had a mega-grump and was pretty rude: obviously being overwelmed by Le Rosbeef pestering them for tickets

Nonethess, a bit of a worry

Good work, Barry! That was the number for Porsche Club France...I wonder if there's general ticket sales available elsewhere.

mine hasn't turned up today either

My problem is I won't have computer access on Wednesday

Don't forget that general admission tickets are available at the gate(s), if things get that desperate

I think TBH just so long as I can get in, one way or another, than that's close enough: I was a bit concerned earlier whether even that was possible.

Looking at Will's http://www.lemansclassic.com/uk/infos_public_4.html link, it seems as though getting tickets 'on the day' will be no problem (42 euro): Grandstands are stated as full, but organisors are considering tempory structures (I'd hope they've stopped 'considering' and started building by now

).

As for paddock access, there's a price on it (20 euro), but by invite/guest only: don't know whether PCGB membership will do for this or not, but might be wingable?

Have we got any french language experts going??

I don't think anybody should be too concerned about entry tickets.
The ACO like to make lots of money and they will continue to sell
tickets as long as people queue up to buy them. It's a big place!

The tickets that have sold out are the ones with grandstand
entry combined. They all went about two months ago.

I spoke with the ACO today and they said that weekend tickets
will continue to be available at the main entrance.

Gaskets for my carbs on their way - hopefully all being well I'll be picking the car up tomorrow. If not he'll just have to loan me the bright Yellow GT2 in his workshop

Wouldn't have it any other way!

I'm going to have to leave everything until Wednesday morning (packing etc.) as I'm still in my office and will have another late one tomorrow.

ticket letter has been sent by email

Got it & printedd it out

Guess what, they have my 'old' address on the letter

Even though I filled in the form correctly etc .... the French computer automatically used my old address. Oh well, at least I now have the tickets

same thing happened to me, it went to my adress of 2 years ago. Luckily my mate still lives there!

Will be packing up the wagon tonight...
