Fraise paint code
I’m thinking about giving Kit a complete makeover once she is put back together again.
Just wondering if anyone could confirm the correct paint code for Fraise as the research that I’ve done so far seems a wee bit conflicting to me.
Thanking you kindly in advance

Re: Fraise paint code
It was a 1974 colour available for both coupe and targa and the code is 024.

Didn’t Nick Moss have a rare car that was originally Fraise but was repainted…

Re: Fraise paint code
So Google mentions the historic number chart, is this another shade?
“Paint Codes: 024 (primary factory code), with alternate historical factory variants like 033 and 3333“

Re: Fraise paint code
Nick Moss discovered the car (it was painted green) in the USA. It was the first F series 2.4 prototype built in March 1971 and he converted it to a red rally car because,if I remember correctly, it wasn’t allowed to compete in ‘pink’.
In my opinion it was a historically important 911 and we had a difference of opinion about it at the time.
Yes, strawberry is another name for the colour (not to be confused with raspberry) as well as rose red and fraise (which is French for strawberry).
Regards
Mike

Re: Fraise paint code
As found for sale by Andy Boyle and subsequently bought by Nick Moss

Historically important 911 with fraise paintwork showing

First painted in fraise

How it ended up in Bahia red/white

Regards
Mike

In case anyone's interested in the particular car mentioned by Mike & others - here's the relevant thread from 20 years ago:

The thread does include pictures of 'Fraise' cars ...
