My 911 is the only 911 I've ever driven. Only one other has driven the car besides me, a loonie journalist on a test track down south a long time ago when I was still hillclimbing the car for a classic car magazine.
I've driven it hard (for me) and leisurely.
The car has:
1973T Coupe shell and bolt-in 6 point roll cage. It weights 1005 Kg. Interior is minimalised, fibre glass bonnet.
3.2 engine and box, maybe 230 bhp, nearly 2 x the factory spec T.
7" wide Cookie Cutter wheels, hillclimbed on 205 x 50 x 15" tyres, this size because of wing clearance and the rubber only came in this size.
Front torsion bars are stock 73T, rears are 3 litre Turbo.
Front strut brace as per RSR.
Roll bars are real 2.7 RS, front and back.
Dampers are custom valved Bilsteins by Bob Watson.
Chassis geo is to Bob Watson's spec.
Steering is stock but MOMO 14" wheel.
Despite all these changes, car rides great, steering a touch heavy below 30mph, 50+ mph, it is wonderful.
I have nothing to compare it to, it may be a bag of rubbish.
Now on Continental EcoContact 6 H tyres, 195 x 65 x 15, much nicer for me than the Dunlop BluSports, same size.
