911s 2.2 DNP202H
Hello everyone,
I am currently looking to purchase the above car. There isn't big history file with the car, just handful of "recent" invoices. It doesn't necessarily puts me off, just was wondering if anyone here knows the car and could offer any info.
Thank you!

I don't recognise/remember that registration number so can't offer anything on its history - but a RHD 1970 2.2S is a rare car (only 34 imported into UK I seem to recollect).
Alan Drayson (boss of Canford Classics) owned/restored a couple of Silver RHD 1970 2.2S models ~ 20 yrs ago so it might have been one of those ...

That particular car (DNP 202H) was used as the featured car in Total 911 magazine's 2.2S section of their 'Porsche 911 Directory'

That's the one! This is pretty much the only thing I managed to find online. I was wondering if anyone might know previous owners or whom looked after the car.Lightweight_911 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 28, 2026 12:54 pm .

Re: 911s 2.2 DNP202H
Thank you! This could very well be, as one of the invoices is from Canford Classics. Yes it is RHD. I knew they are rare, but didn't think as rare as just few dozen cars.Lightweight_911 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 28, 2026 12:47 pm .

Was that the S that Barry restored for Canford Classics starting with a skeletal body? Was red when discovered but restored back to original silver.
Confirming Andy’s comment, 34 rhd S 911’s imported in MY70.
Regards
Mike

I think that was this car. Obviously could have had a plate change but I would hope the resto file / invoices would have been kept with the car.

Just remembered that Steve Wright also owned (owns ?) a Silver RHD 1970 s - but I'm sure it can't be 'DNP 202H' as it's ongoing history was well documented as Steve wrote a regular column for one of the Porsche magazines ...

That’s the very restoration I was thinking of Gary in my post above but I couldn’t find the thread to share. Thanks for posting. This resto was in the days before Barry and Alan went their separate ways. In fact, I think this job had a lot to do with their split.Gary71 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2026 8:30 am I believe it’s this one.
