Colour is such a personal choice. Something one person considers stylish another person might consider a crime of taste.

Other than the leaf green suggestion (great suggestion), I’m with you on silver but in particular GT silver as the slightly deeper silver works better against chrome - like when you compare how well classic Aston Martin silver works compared to standard longhood Porsche silver.
However I think silver looks their best when the car is stripped back to a simpler hotrod look like you’ve mentioned. Magnus Walkers 1965 Brumos car is good inspiration…

That Magnus Walker car does look lovely!
It’s a colour I keep coming back to.
I don’t want to be different just for the sake of it.
However I do genuinely have a soft spot for coffee (cocoa) brown, and conaught green - 2 very dark colours.
I’m all over the place with it tbh.
