The solution has certainly worked as far as Stirling on the first day 8) Good luck with the rest of the Monte!

Well,
We successfully completed the Monte Classic  .
What an epic trip. 3,500 miles in 12 days, starting in Northants, driving to John O'Groats, then down to the Hull to Rotterdam ferry via Glencoe, Queens Ferry, & York, Then Rotterdam to Antwerp, to Brussels to the 'Official' start at Reims. Then Reims to Bourge-en-Bresse. Then to Gap, then to Monte Carlo.
Oh, and not forgetting the trip home via, Valence, and the glorious Hotel de France in Le Mans.

The little car was faultless for the whole trip, and consumed one and a half litres of oil over the whole trip.
The Michelin CrossClimate tyres were superb and I can recommend them enough as a proper winter tyre.
Pictures to follow:

Now prepping the car ready to compete in the Pomeroy Trophy at Silverstone on Saturday :)
