What’s the best type of glue to fit a new liner ?

Use the high temp resistant spray.
Contact Woolies, long established supplier of all upholstery material. They will guide you.

Back in 1989 I used Evostick! All still tight.

Yep, that's what I used Lee.

HTA1000 by Wayside Adhesives. It's in eBay or Just Kampers.
