Need advice
I need someone to advise me how to install the pedal box and rods that go throught the tunnel on a RHD 1970 911. I've been trying different ways but to no avail. There must be a simple way, but each time I try to connect the rods to the pedal box either the bracket that hold the end of the rods snag or the studs are in the way. Any advice would be most welcome.

I've just done my 70 (LHD) and it wasn't too difficult. I rebuilt my pedal box but I'm not familiar with the configuration of a RHD. Basically the rod runs thru the tunnel and is held in three places but nylon "cotton reel" style bushes. If you look into your tunnel at the handbrake, and shifter openings, you'll see the small tabs that secure the bushes.
Maybe do a search here for RHD installation. Pelican is also very good but I'd imagine most there woul refer to LHD.

The set up RHD is different to the LHD as there are connecting rods about a foot long that go from the drivers side of the tunnel to the passengers side. I've rebuilt and fitted a LHD pedal box which wasn't difficult.

I know the routing, it's just that I'm having trouble connecting the rods to the pedal box.
I was wondering if theres a certain prcedure to make it easy.

Not too sure if this will help, but:
This is my pedal area showing RHD install although my 73T was LHD, the pedals etc are real RHD parts, the support bracket bolted to the passenger side floor is one I made.
The connections are throttle at the top and clutch lower down. It is a tight fit and getting it all linked up needs some strength. There is a lot of lithium grease over the connections.
It is easy to get some binding in this assembly, alignment is critical or you will have sticky throttle positions.
There needs to be some good clearances and allowance for the cross rods to 'float', easy to get these too tight.

Thanks for the photos hillclimber, sorry but I don't know your name. The access hole in the tunnel on the drivers side is much smaller on my car which is making it difficult, I took it out a few years ago, so I should be able to put it back in. It is a genuine UK delivered car to AFN. To my shame I'm no good at posting pictures which doesn't help.

My car was a LHD 73T and I opened out the side hole for better access to the throttle ball and clutch clevis back in 1992/93
When getting the clutch rod in the right place and the coil spring positioned you need to get the pedal upright against the stop and then connect the clutch cable clevis.
To do that you need the cable disconnected or very slack at the clutch arm on the 'box. You could do worse than refer to the Haynes Manual as your box/clutch is different to mine!
In the opposite way, the trottle link will almost fall into place with the pedal in the right position.
The right position is when the pedal is level with the brake pedal. This can take a bit of tweaking...
I rebuilt my pedal assembly etc a few months ago so quite fresh in my mind.
As said, check everything is not binding and has freedom to move about a few mm.

Hi Graham. Thanks for the advice, will do as you say when installing the cables which I haven't put in yet. The side hole on drivers side is quite small which causes the issue of lining the rods up, but after a lot of cussing and berating the design I managed to install it. Now the pedal box is in I can attach the master cylinder.

I cut that hole much wider for the same reason.
