I need to do a full and proper rebuild this time.
I've been looking online for barrels and pistons among other things.
The only ones i find are for 72 - 74 engines ( i forget the 2 codes) and they're low compression flat tops.
There are oversize ones that take it to 1911cc. with the only modification needed is to have the heads machined to 103mm?
Anyone just replaced same size b & p's on an early engine? I'm looking at having a camshaft made to certain specs too.
My sticking point is the barrels and pistons.

There is a set of new KS domed pistons & cylinders on ebay but at double the cost of alternatives.
Other than the 96mm short stroke, you could switch the crank & rods to use 94mm flat tops. Again, the heads need machining
