fitting steering mechanism 1969 LWB

I am fitting my steering rods back into car, the ones that go from the steering wheel to the steering rack
It has been so long since I dismantled it , I cannot remember how I should fit it all back. I can work out where all the rods and couplers go its just managing it in that tight space
Any pointers to make it easier
Just has a thought , perhaps fit the rods and couplers and then finish off by attaching steering wheel bit at the end ?
