On this day 20 years ago while on a business trip to the US, I purchased Honey while in San Francisco. Here is a picture of me and a work colleague celebrating with a beer and the owner’s manual.
Turns out the 911 is a very practical car, was able to fit all of the kids in
One of my first trips was a drive to Oban for breakfast, a journey I still remember and also meeting other DDK members on a trip to the CB Inn in North Yorkshire.

Today I went into the garage and sat in the driver’s seat and also turned the engine over by hand. Honey hasn't really been out since Covid. That will change this year as I retire in 3 weeks and spending more time with Honey is certainly on my list and that includes returning to the Bo'ness Hillclimb.
Hi Brendan,
I have seen it before, but that picture on the beach is lovely. Great to hear you will be getting to spend more time with your car. I look forward to doing the same when I get older.
Kind regards
Gitesh
Such a lovely honest original 911, thanks for all the 20 years of memories and adventures Brendan.
Regards
Mike
PS Gary, it wasn’t just the one piston

Great thread Brendan. Some great shots there - the car looks totally different at Bo’ness, with the different wheels and ride height.
All the best for your retirement
