Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
So tasteless. Who would do such a thing? Drive an Aston Martin SUV or a black Range Rover, if that’s what is? Ugh!

Just lovely and it makes even 'city' cars/super minis look massive...
All the best

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
A person I know has the quickest Aston Martin one. It’s really, really, really fast.
Obviously I dont want one, they’re heavy and dangerous to other road users and everything that’s wrong with car design and engineering these days. But I do have to work hard every day not to want one.

I borrowed this one for a couple of days recently (it’s the one on the right ), it’s certainly fast but that’s about the only positive thing I could say about it

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
I have only been in one of these mega SUV's before, a Bentley, for a 40 mile run to a hillclimb.
I've been in a LR Discovery about 5 years back...
That Bentley was out of this world in how it drove down the mix of roads, the Discovery was the opposite.
The engineering design that goes into these super machines comes through, looks are a subjective thing, ride quality and control of performance quite easy to evaluate.
I would not buy a car I need step ladders to wash the roof by hand, but that Bentley was a beautiful car.

Yes Andy. My daughter in Amsterdam has a 2008 BMW 1 series. Only €750 per year which is apparently ' reasonable'.Lightweight_911 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 5:33 pm .

This is a public forum and frequented by very young persons and those easily "triggered". So no posting of your "big old thing" as Bootsy could get a visit from the indecent publications police. Thank you.
