DDK Transport of a spare wheel

Post by dean1057 »

Before I pull the trigger on a Shiply delivery, I thought I'd just ask to see if anyone is passing Bedford and heading to or through South Yorkshire.
I have a space saver inflatable spare wheel (911SC) to collect and rather than paying a random carrier I'd rather pay a fellow DDK'er.
There is no rush on delivery so anytime to suit.

and a few Motorbikes!!!!

Can't help, but Parcelforce are very good value for shipping at moment and they collect.

Cheers Ollie but I have a spare wheel where the valve has been damaged and I've seen how carriers throw things around, I'd rather spend the extra money to take care of the wheel.
You can't get those special valves anymore, they're easily damaged if they take a bang.

Perhaps ask the consignor if they're willing to pack it in such as way to properly protect the valve, or go and get it yourself?

The reality is that a Shiply sub-contractor is unlikely to be any more or less careful than any other carrier.
