Best resto threads?…

Post by Team Pacemaker »

Hi ! … I’m new here …could any of you long standing members point me in the right direction… I’m just about to start a complete diy 911T resto (the car was stripped and the engine, gearbox, interior, wheels etc were all dry-ish! stored while the shell was left to rot outside for decades in the new York area… so the shell is bad… about as bad as it gets! . So I’m after recommendations of restoration threads where there was serious fabrication and body repairs required … obvs iv had a good look through the restoration pages but there are 14 pages stretching over 16 years? And Some threads have 35-40 pages! Ill look for ages and find a good one and the next day I’ll forget what page it was on and what the thread title was!… I bet there are some over the years that have stuck in your minds?. …
but yeah recommendations for the best restoration threads (the rustier the better!) please!

Hi all

A thread i found most interesting when i restored my tangerine car was one showing an early silver 911 with only 500 or so miles from new . There were pics from every angle and this was invaluable when trying to do a correct restoration.

Can anyone provide a link to these images as i can no longer find them

.

That'll be the 700 mile 1970 911S that Dave Conklin photographed:
