Post by soporsche »

Spotted this whilst doing a trawl of cars for sale, Im quite new to the UK 914 market so perhapse I shouldnt be suprised at a price tag of over £50k for a rare 914/6 with history

Is this a car known to you guys (or even a members car)?

This was being advertised elsewhere as a 914/6 GT.

There is a lot of debate as to what constitutes a genuine GT - however Sonauto 914/6's are pretty special - I remember Mike Karavasili taking me out in his "standard" 14/6 which was built by Sonauto and that was a lot quicker than a factory car.
1966 912 Karmann Coupe - polo red.
1972 914/6 GT replica - 2.7 - signal orange.
1961 Standard 217 Tractor.
2003 Boxster S.
1967 Alfa Giulia Sprint GT Veloce.

I had heard that they were a bit special but...!

Anyway way out of my budget, I can think of a list of cars that would fit the bill for that sort of cash e.g. both the 911 rally car in the 911 section of the forum and 914/6 replica with 3.0sc engine on ebay USA last week and some cash left over to get them both sorted :)
