I'm at the stage of painting. Thought it may be of interest.

Looking good, so when do you plan to have it on the road?

Ah the good old days when "on the road" meant just that. Now it's

a) on the road and
b) SVA'd

Hopefully for mid/late summer.

I always find this is the worst part of painting: there are aways parts that you're not happy with, and it seems the closer you are to perfection, the harder the last few rectifications get. The first colour coat is the best: looks so dramatic, and there's no pressure as you know there's several more coats to go yet.

Looking very good, particularly considering where you're working :thumbleft:

Good Grief...small world! I used to work there in a past life (TSB Bank) and can remember the lovely small from Bridge Of Weir Leather Co wafting up on a hot summers day.......woof!

Does your brother happen to live up in Stanely, and is your car green (my memory must be going, I see it's maroony/red...sure it is yours)? If so, he stays next door to my father, and I sat and ogled your car a couple of weeks ago.

You can reach me through my site www.alastair-brown.co.uk

You should also joing the west of Scotland VW Club, they meet every month and would be happy to have you along.
