Thanks for the kind comments, have really appreciated your help and subtle guidance along the way with this project. I am looking forward to have the interior complete, the car will come alive with this. In terms of the build, Gary has done an incredible job. I know that over restoring a car can be frowned upon, I had no option with this....it was too far gone. Small details are starting to catch my eye and I am loving the quality of the work. The dials are factory fresh courtesy of Julian at Reap. I will post some proper pictures when I get round to it.

That's good, especially given that you have plenty of other excellent choices!

Do you need to thin out the fleet a bit? I do, and for a little while considered selling my completed full resto (the orange car). TBH it wasn't the sunk investment of blood sweat and tears that made me decide to keep it, nor even the "find another" (RHD, like yours) consideration. It just drives really well... Turns out these old 911s are quite good.
Very glad to hear that yours is heading in the same direction.

Thin out the fleet



Just a bit, my wife is going mad! I have quite a few others as well, with two being advertised for sale.

I think I have a problem.

In any event the E is slowly coming together, Mike B is fitting the fuel pump tomorrow. Pray it works.

I have now had my fuel pump fitted, Mike B came up and the car starts better and on my first quick run around the block it felt like night and day. Collected the car from the garage (had a poke around Rich's car) and drove home. Car felt good to begin with then I assume once warm and the choke came off it start to get quite hesitant and felt like it was being starved of fuel now. Speaking with Mike Bainbridge the process is quite involved setting up the MFI pump and my local specialist doesn't have a mobile gas analyser or recent experience of setting up cars.

I have gone so far with this car I don't want to leave any stone unturned, everything is perfect like new including the engine so it needs to run like new.

Can anyone advise on where best to send the car, would love if it can stay in Scotland if not where is it best going to South of the border?
