That sounds like a Friday evening milestone to celebrate.
Congratulations!

Re: My '72 911T
Bit of a milestone today… all the trim is done! Well. Apart from the sunvisors and the carpet, but they can wait!
Second door card & 1/4 trim done in half the time of the first.
Once I’d bolted the dash in it was time to sort the speaker grille.
The replacement I bought a few years back was pretty good (as these things go) but didn’t match the new vinyl so I made a new one from some plywood and had a joy filled hour or so punching holes.
It’s not a perfect fit, but honestly after feeling the time that’s burning away on this project it will do just fine!
Next step: greasy bits!

The quality will remain until the time it took is a distant memory.

A mechanical bit! Did both sides in about 20 minutes. Later adjustable arms to avoid torsion bar height adjustment faff.

Re: My '72 911T
An important box for the rebuild has arrived.
I stupidly cracked the other perfectly good one getting it out.
Always fun to get the chrome trim fitted to the seal. I bought new OE seal and trim, but that's no guarantee! Currently I’ve got the seal and trim fitted, so just need to finalise the wiring before dropping it in tomorrow.
I've had a heated screen for almost as long as I've owned the car, definitely one of those once you've had one there is no going back features if you actual use your car in all weathers

I’m not going to describe the process between that box and this picture as the swear filters will remove most of it, but let’s just say it’s in now…
Now for the rear one. I have a feeling more swearing may be involved

Surprising absence of swearing for the rear one…
Third time lucky and it’s in.
I used two cords in the end, one to flip the seal by the roof at the start, then the usual one inside.
This seal has never sat this well! It did need a small section flipped out with a plastic tool, but really not too hard.

Bet you are pleased those are in!

I got 'old Joe' in to fit mine a few years back from a local place, and he muttered a few fitting words.

Re: My '72 911T
A long weekend on the car with some progress!
All the rear suspension is now on, engine bay pad patterned and fitted, oil filter console, fuel lines and filter in place.
And finally the engine bay seal, what a festival of fun that is… anyway it’s in now but that’s an hour of my life I’m not getting back!

Great work Gary. Are they alloy rear trailing arms you have fitted. If so do you notice a difference in handling ?

They are yes, off a ‘75 I think so the ARB still fits.
I changed them years back at the same time as other things so no idea if it helps! My original arms were a mismatched pair of pre/post ‘72 so that’s why I changed them rather than anything else.
