Everything needs to be period-correct, per homologation papers and not repro. NOS would be considered however.
It is intended that the finished car will be an exact copy of the Gelo Racing car which competed in the ‘72 Le Mans 24hrs or Porsche factory car 911 230 0841 (which later became ‘73 RS prototype RS0002).
I also need a complete PDF copy of ‘Information for Porsches Vehicles used for Sports Purposes’ (edition 2, dated May ‘71), not the earlier version for ‘68 911L etc. However if there is a 1972 edition which I am not aware of, I would be very grateful to receive a copy of this. I do have the homologation papers for ‘72-‘73 which is a key piece of information for this project.
Any other helpful advice or assistance gratefully received.
Serious enquiry for this challenging but rewarding project.
Please PM me with full details including photos of date stamp and part no.
Thanks.

Re: WTB: Genuine ‘72 2.5 ST parts for HTP car: what have you
Please note that I have been supplied with a copy of Sports Purposes Information 2nd edition now, so that's taken care of.
I have decided that the car will be the '72 GeLo Racing Le Mans entry (car #44, driven by Georg Loos, Jean Sage and Franz Pesch), and am researching this car as much as possible now, to ensure it is as accurate as possible. If anyone has any photographs of this car, whether internal or external, engine bay / under bonnet etc, stationary or running (until it retired with engine problems after 8 hours), I would be very grateful to receive them.

Hi Andy
Thanks for the offer. The chassis number of the GeLo car is 0955 and I really need to try and get an interior shot of the car so I can establish whether Recaro ST or Scheel 300 was fitted at the time. However if it does turn out to be a Recaro, and yours is still available I will definitely have it as it looks great.

maverick
noun
1. an unorthodox or independent-minded person.
2. an unbranded calf or yearling.
Origin mid 19th century: from the name of Samuel A. Maverick (1803–70), a Texas rancher who did not brand his cattle.

I think you’ve sold your Recaro 1328 now but you may see my wanted post for a pair of factory-supplied Recaro buckets. If you know of anything which might be suitable for me, please do let me know.
Cheers
Matt
