Eoin Sloan has been it touch and when he says replicas he means chesils and colvins etc; so I think the best thing after all these years is to stop calling my car a rep and join the 'recreation' and 'rebuilt as' fraternity.
Anyway, only 5 months to go!
Indeed - good news.
Sent my booking form off and picture of the car today.
Current plan involves the tunnel as I'm picking up a fellow Porsche nut (75S Glenn, but he has never posted anything!) in Ware on the way down. Times and everything to be sorted, I'll post on the other thread that Brendan started and tie in with those boys.
I've had a look at the various forms from Porsche Club France and read this thread though and it appears the the only advantage of being a PCGB members is 20 euro discount on the ticket price? Other than that you get all the same stuff. Have I missed something?
Do I need to tick the club parking box if I want to do the parade laps?
Getting excited again now after trying to forget it for four months!!!
I'm sure we can find room for a couple!! Be great to catch up with everyone again. It seems like most of the active members of the club are going so should be a good one.
My trip planning at present is focussing on how to transport 30 Grolsch flip tops, in a perfectly preserved chilled condition, to a campsite 500 miles away in the middle of summer... Does the local Carrefour sell ice? A freezer box can be rammed on the back seat with the tent!
I need to get some luggage straps sorted. Whatever happened to the thread about getting some made? I'll do some research!
Just being reading through this thread and getting very depressed. I was meant to be joing all of you with Big Paul but my fkin mates wedding is on the same weekend. He decided on the data 18 months ago....you would think he could have consulted me then
I havn't been to Le Mans since we came 1st and 2nd in 1998....it long over due.
I'll be in some tin of fruit talking b0ll0cks while all of you will be having mega fun.
Looks like my idiotic mate has decided he's going to get married that weekend . Idiotic I say because he only met her a few weeks ago and has still not finalised his first divorce .
Never mind, 2008 should give me time to get the bodywork done, never mind the bloody engine .
