 Blimey, doesn't that look good with the big bumpers: I like that, if you'd have described it I'd said it wouldn't work at all.

the following picture on flat 6.net is a carrera 2.7 coupe in lime green, standard, to give you an idea.

Thanks for all the encouragement, it was a very hard choice to make, do I back date or not, I love the look of the early car but I think with so few 2.7 Carrera's around it would have been a crime and in lime green I think I can live with those big bumpers. My car has black door mirrors as both the cars in the picture's do but my look slightly different anyone know of other type's of mirror.

those mirrors look like '73 'flag' mirrors but in black rather than chrome ?

not sure if they are, but they do look similar

Big bumpers & lime green look superb 8)

Image I was a bit taken back today when I saw it for the first time in this colour, it is so in your face.I hope all the black trim a Carrera sidewinder will balance it!

Nigel,

Are you sure your carrera 2.7 came with the anodised (black look) finish? Very often the 2.7 had the chrome window surrounds as the anodised finish was standard with the carrera 3.0.

Having said that, i did spot quite a few c3's with chrome window surrounds so it must have been a no cost option here in the UK?

She is looking fantastic- she will wow the crowds when finished.

regards,

Bert
