Re: Door seal leak
Hi, yes, that is exactly the sort of seal I mean and had on my old car.

Re: Door seal leak
I've ordered some new seals from Woolies. Let's see how they turn out.
Re: Door seal leak
Factory inner door seal profile is flat with two ridges, while many seals you can buy off the reel are round.
Keith where you discribe where the water is collecting it is right below where the quarter light meets the targa top and the seal that goes across the windscreen frame, are you sure the water is not running down from here?

Re: Door seal leak
Check what Kev says. Water runs along the "gutter" moulding in the targa top and jumps straight into the car from the gap at the top of the 1/4 window. It seems to collect a whole roof full of water in one go! Lands on your left forearm if you are in the car at the time.

Re: Door seal leak
Yes, I was talking about this at the weekend - I think it is indeed entering where you say, then running down behind the door card and collecting on top of the seal at the bottom of the door. The door membrane is all new, the drain holes are all clear, but there is damp staining on the door card itself at this point.
Of course I could just follow the advice given on the 914world forum, which was based around 'why do you drive your car in the rain?'
