Shelsley Walsh 12th September - Photos

Hi I was at Shelsley last weekend and will be this weekend competing with my Non-Porsche - Cooper S but did take these photos.

Are they of anyone here the yellow 911 only did one run in the morning and then disappeared before I could get any other snaps?




My Cooper S

The yellow “RSR” is yellow491 on here, the white supercharged 911 is Andy Norris, and the brown “3.0 RS” is Josh Sadler.
Wish I could have been there as well ..........

It was one of the last cars out of GRV and built in the same vein as the Vita Cars and raced at Goodwood in John Rhodes hands in 2001 and then Barry Whizzo Williams placed it on pole at the St Marys Trophy in 2003 with Norman Grimshaw and ended the race 3rd it was completely dwarfed by the Galaxies.



Interestingly Barry and Norman raced a Porsche 911 which Steve Winter at JAZ looked after for them

This weekend there are is a smattering of Modern Porsches and a 911 SCRS plus a 904 Special according to the entry list.

He will confirm to you that the second "F" is for Fake!

I am there Sunday (car 181) in the Boxster. I can’t see you on the programme, are you Sat only? I am hoping to get there for your final run on Saturday, all being well. If I make it, I will come and say hello

Hi Wayne yes I am just there on the Sunday, I usually take the wife and kids and we usually camp but with the one guest only I take a pal and just do the one day to appease the girls. I have done the last 3 which have been great and much better organised than usual. Got 3 practice runs last Saturday.

Might see you towards the end of the day pop over and say hi. I was a bit late to enter, so I am in the Orchard for this one.

Stuart Wing is usually there albeit not for this one and takes some great shots and always worth checking with him if he has one of your car at past events.

Sounds like you have the same family arrangements as me! I am solo on the Motorhome, also in the orchard so will be easy to catch up!

All dressed up with nowhere to go JW...all that rushing around fixing the brakes this week for nothing.....
Have been poorly the last couple of days and after developing a cough had a COVID test at lunchtime today

Ha, yes. She was tested too. Origin of the infection known to be a younger member of the household! Hopefully all good and a false alarm.....
