Interesting about the CN36

You are right Darren, need to be a bit braver! I’ve been driving the Alfa for the last few months and it is a lot lighter and sharper and I have gotten used to how that drives. The 911 took a few miles to get used to but felt great after the lunch stop. When I first drove the Alfa, it was also on Bridgestone Potenza RE002 road tyres and was very comfortable but lacked bite. It is now on Yokohama AD08Rs and feel much sharper and precise but the trade off is ride comfort. Much easier to push hard in the dry though.

It'll be interesting to hear your thoughts once you've played with tyre pressures an maybe compared on the roads you know well?

When I tried them on my orange car normally running Avons the difference wasn't as extreme as on my
2.4E when switching from the old Michelins which transformed the car.......compared to the Avons I found them softer, bottoming out a couple of times in Wales which had never happened before although I found them equally as grippy and just as enjoyable, more comfortable too. If they didn't rub my inner arches I would have kept them and think they're fantastic tyres. Far more in keeping than moderns and look the DB's too

Ultimately you have far more driving experience than l and are more in tune with your cars.....most of the time I'm just gripping hard and trying to hang on!

It takes a while, costs about £ 150 per corner and is garunteed to make you look like a bell end. (that is the sort of coment that looses me loads of customers. If you ring Longstone Tyres we will allow you to buy white wall tyres for European sports cars if you perciveer, but you have to withstand several torades of abuse before we take your credit car number.
