Ad in 911 & PW

Hello,

As there's an advert in the current 911 & PW of a 73S in Italy, I've been trying to call them but can't seem to get through to their telephone number.. Have you tried? I dialled 0039 for Italy then 320 879 1654 but nothing. I only need their e-mail address. Can you help me out?

320 does not appear to be an Italian code. look here

Try contacting their ad dept. They will have more details on the advertiser. ( I found them very helpfull when trying to trackdown an advertiser who I paid & didn't send me the goods)

I tried contacting ref that car - its advertised elsewhere and never got a reply of any sort..

Did they give a location of the car? I have contacted people both in Sicily and around Asti.

The 320 sounds like it is a mobile number.

Probably a misprint from the magazine.

I'm pretty sure that for Italian no.s you must include the 0 in the std code, i.e 0039 0....

Normally the zero is for in-country dialling only. It shoudl be ignored for international calls.

I rang the number and the provider, Wind, said the number does not exist.

The Italian mobile numbers do not use a 0 before the code, in this case, 320.

Try the publishers to see if they mis printed the ad.

But, be wary of Italians selling 911s. Countless vehicles have been modified, fiddled etc.

One guy, south of Asti last summer, wanted 40,000 euros for a "restored" 911S, 2.4. Tutthill at the time, had an Italian import for £19000, Euro 27000.

If you need some help, no problem.

Just be cautious with the Italians. Stuff they sell can be very much misrepresented. Might want alot of money from UK buyer.

An old car has limited value in Italy. Italians like new stuff. They make old cars look like new. you will see a number of old 911s made to look like Carreras, and 964s.
