No type designation on top of case halves? What type of industrial engine, water pump?

It’s a bit confusing really as to what it is
It has the number 34 stamped on the top of the 2 main case pieces
and the numbers 16_62 on the front of the 2 main case pieces
Any information would be greatly appreciated as to what it is

This page on another forum, gives the location of various casting stampings which may be able to identify the engine type and year of manufacture if thats any better??
